Steps to configuring your email client:
1) Check your email inbox for a message from Your Design Online with the subject: “You’ve got mail!”. This email contains your Email Address, Username, Password, and Server names.

2) Click the icon above for the email client that mostly resembles the one you’re using. This will provide you with a PDF document that will provide step-by-step instructions for setting up your email client. If you’re confused about whether you’re using POP or IMAP, most of our clients use POP.

3) Once you’ve set up your email account, send a test email FROM your new address, and then send a test email TO your new address. If you experience any issues, please check the special exceptions below:

- If you experience login issues (you get a popup email that says your email client cannot login), check to see that your username is EXACTLY what is specified in the “You’ve got mail!” email. Some email servers require that your username is your email address. Some require your username to be your email address without the “@yourdomain.com” part. Check the “You’ve got mail!” email to see what is required for your email server.

- If you can receive email but not send email, you likely need to update your outbound (SMTP) port setting. Try updating your port to the first port in the following list, then click OK, and try sending again. If that doesn’t work, move on to the next port, and try again. Continue this process until you’re able to send.

Port #’s: 26, 587, 25, 8889

- If you’re trying to send email from home with a DSL connection or from a public WiFi spot, your Internet Service Provider (Bellsouth.net, AT&T, etc.) may require special outbound port settings. Google the phrase “SMTP port number for “, then type the name of your Internet Service Provider, then hit Enter. The results that follow will detail what settings to try. For example, type “SMTP port number for bellsouth.net”, hit Enter, and see what the search results tell you.

- Make sure you do not have SPA (Secure Password Authentication) checked.
